Help One Common Unity!!
This summer One Common Unity is launching a new youth program, Fly By Light. The program takes inner city high school students to the mountains of West Virginia for a life changing experience. Youth participating in this program will take part in workshops on leadership, non-violent communication, conflict resolution, personal growth, health and wellness, and music therapy. Additionally, they will be featured in a documentary film created around their experience with One Common Unity.
In order to take part in this amazing opportunity the youth need your help! Please consider sponsoring a youth.
A Gift of.....
700 dollars will give one youth a chance to be in the program for six months
360 dollars will give one youth the chance to be in the program for three months
60 dollars will give one youth the chance to be in the program for one month

This weekend is National HIV Testing Day. Please join Joseph's House at the screening of "The Other City," a documentary about HIV and AIDS in DC and the grassroots activists that work to promote advocacy and understanding.
There are two showings: 1pm-4pm at Martin Luther King Library 901 G Street, NW or at 8pm (screening beginning at dusk) at the Harriet Tubman Elementary School 3101 13th Street, NW.
Free HIV testing will be at both sites. For more information on this amazing film, please see The Other City.
