Becky's Fund is a DC based organization that works to prevent the causes of domestic and dating violence. They work to empower women of all ages to fight domestic violence and bring awareness to the causes in the DC area. To raise funds for Becky's fund, Citizen Effect is hosting Yoga Challenge this month. Several yoga studios have donated their services to help support this great cause! AIDS Walk Washington
Please join Jospeh's House for the AIDS WALK Washington on Saturday, October 29, 2011. The walk serves to support and raise awarness about the struggles with AIDS/HIV in the Washington area. Joseph's House is a Community Partner with this year's AIDS Walk Washington, which is a 5km fundraising walk. As a community partner, Joseph's House gets to keep 50% of any money their team raises!
To register, go to www.aidswalkwashington.org. When registering, please remember to joing the Joseph's House team. There is a $25 registration fee and you can either walk or do the timed run. The run begins at 8:30am and the walk begins at 9:15am. They start and end at the Freedom Plaza. Please ask your friends and family to donate to your walk/run online.

Calling for Nominations for the El Hibri Peace Education Prize
The El Hibri Charitable Foundation awards the El Hibri Peace Education Prize every year to individuals or organizations that work towards promoting peace education and the integration of knowledge and peacebuilding.
